The National NGO Program on Humanitarian Leadership (NNPHL) is currently accepting applications through 31 December 2023 for a Latin America & Caribbean Blended Learning Leadership Cohort. The Blended Learning Leadership Program is a 4-month intensive course designed to provide humanitarian professionals with the leadership skills and management practices critical to advancing the collective effectiveness of humanitarian action. The course combines self-paced asynchronous learning modules and a 2-day remote leadership intensive training to equip learners with the tools and competencies needed to navigate complex humanitarian emergencies.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: The NNPHL Blended Learning Leadership Program is designed for mid-level humanitarian professionals with 4-10 years of experience managing others who aspire to take on leadership roles in, and have a commitment to, the humanitarian sector. The Latin America & Caribbean Program is open to national humanitarian professionals working for non-governmental or community-based organizations in Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Mexico, Barbados, and Puerto Rico. The course will be instructed in English and applicants should be comfortable reading, writing, and speaking in English in order to participate. Those who have already participated in a NNPHL training program are not eligible to apply.
PROGRAM COST: With the generous support of USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), this training is provided free of charge to all selected participants.
ABOUT NNPHL: The National NGO Program on Humanitarian Leadership (NNPHL) is a highly regarded training program that offers learning on humanitarian leadership, management practices, and topical issues critical to advancing collective effectiveness of humanitarian action to better serve those in need of humanitarian assistance. NNPHL combines curriculum from world-class instructors and seasoned humanitarian practitioners focused on strengthening leadership capacity to improve self-awareness, decision making, motivation, and influence to equip humanitarians with the skills needed to tackle the most pressing challenges of our time.
Funded by USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Affairs (BHA), NNPHL is implemented by a consortium that brings together a unique combination of operational and technical expertise: Concern Worldwide, the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, and International Medical Corps.
